About Joy!
Joy Whitlow has been caring for children, animals, and households for over 20 years — but her love for caregiving started long before that.
One of her favorite childhood photos is of her feeding ducks at the zoo at just three years old. Her mother would even buy cans of cat food so Joy could feed the neighborhood cats. Caring for animals has always been second nature to her.
In college, Joy began helping care for a Weimaraner named Friday and quickly fell in love with the world of pet care. Around the same time, she started nannying and house sitting, naturally becoming someone families relied on and trusted.
After graduating and moving to Cleveland, Joy worked in a toddler classroom where she built close relationships with local families in need of dependable household support. One family eventually asked her to leave the classroom to become their full-time nanny — a role that further deepened her passion for helping families behind the scenes of everyday life.
Over the years, Joy continued working within independent schools, eventually becoming the head of after-school and summer programs, including leadership roles within Montessori education. Since 2016, she has continued working closely with children and families while simultaneously building a trusted reputation throughout the Cleveland community for thoughtful, high-touch household support.
Following the pandemic, Joy expanded her services to include personal shopping, dinner party and event preparation, household errands, travel support for children, home check-ins, and personalized concierge-style assistance for busy families.
Today, Joy works with a select number of households, offering deeply personalized care for children, pets, homes, and the many moving parts of modern family life. Every new client relationship begins with an in-person meet-and-greet to ensure the right fit and create a foundation of trust, comfort, and consistency.
